SAIX is operated as a settlement free peering platform, each participant carries its own cost for connecting and peering on the platform.
The following rules apply to all members connecting on SAIX:
Each participant is responsible for taking appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent operational impact to other participants or the entire peering platform
Participants will provide sufficiant resources for analyzing and correcting issues occuring on the platform. If issues cannot be resolved in a timely manner the platform operator is allowed to temporary disable the participants port(s) until the issue is resolved.
Participants are encouraged to provide advanced notice for planned maintenance on their peering routers or backhauling links.
Participants are encouraged to publish their peering relations as part of their AS-MACRO with RIPE.
Participants are strongly encouraged to maintain an accurate entry for their ASN on PeeringDB
Participants are free to peer with all or only a subset of the members.
Participants can arrange peering sessions based on bilateral agreements between them.
Paid transit is not allowed on the peering VLAN.
Each members full name and contact information will be published on the main website.
